SUR Foundation Starts 2025 with 3 New Water Wells in Chad: A Gratitude to Our Donors

United for Clean Drinking Water: On a sunny day, January 3, 2025, Stichting SUR, also known as SUNRISE, reached a remarkable milestone. After months of hard work, planning, and executing various tasks, three new water wells were opened in Chad. These wells not only provide access to clean drinking water but also offer a renewed chance for a healthier and more dignified life for hundreds, if not thousands, of children and impoverished families.
Why Clean Drinking Water is Essential
In many parts of the world, including Chad, clean drinking water is a luxury. Families often walk miles daily to access a source, which is frequently unsafe. This lack of clean water leads to diseases, lost opportunities for education and work, and even life-threatening conditions. The opening of these water wells puts an end to this daily struggle for many.
How Stichting SUNRISE Made This Possible
The past month at Stichting SUNRISE was all about perseverance and collaboration. Thanks to the dedication of volunteers, donors, and partners, sufficient funds were raised, and the logistics in Chad were meticulously organized. Every aspect of the project, from identifying suitable locations to drilling the wells, was carried out with great care. All of this with one clear goal: to create a lasting impact in the communities that need it most.
