SUR Foundation starts the year 2025 with 3 New Wells in Chad: A Thank You to Our Donors

Dear friends, supporters and loyal donors,
Together Strong for Clean Drinking Water: On a sunny day, January 3, 2025, a wonderful milestone was reached by SUR Foundation, also known as SUNRÄ°SE. After months of hard work, planning and carrying out various tasks, three new wells were opened in Chad. These wells mean not only access to clean drinking water, but also a new opportunity for a healthier and more dignified life for hundreds, if not thousands, of children and poor families.
Why Clean Drinking Water is Vital
In many parts of the world, including Chad, clean drinking water is a luxury. Families walk miles daily to access a source, which is often not even safe. This lack of clean water leads to disease, lost time for education and work, and even life-threatening situations. Opening these wells will end this daily struggle for many.
How SUNRISE Foundation Made This Possible
The past month at SUNRISE Foundation has been all about perseverance and collaboration. Thanks to the efforts of volunteers, donors and partners, we managed to raise sufficient funds and get the logistics in place in Chad. Every aspect of the project, from finding suitable sites to drilling the wells, was carried out with care. All with a clear goal: to make a lasting impact in communities that need it most.
A Moment of Hope and Joy
During the celebratory opening of the wells, villagers gathered to watch the water flow. For many, it was an emotional moment. Children played with the flowing water, mothers collected their first buckets full, and elders thanked the initiators with tears of joy. This is what SUR Foundation stands for: bringing hope where there is despair, and bringing people together for a better future.
