🌙 In the Holy Month of Ramadan We Touched Thousands of Hearts - Thanks to the Sunrise Family!
During the blessed month of Ramadan, a time of grace, forgiveness and abundance, we as the Sunrise Foundation experienced once again how powerful kindness, brotherhood and sharing can be. Thanks to the support of you, our valuable donors, we were able to answer the prayers of the oppressed, provide meals to the needy and bring hope to those without access to clean drinking water.
This Ramadan we went beyond just being a foundation; together we formed a community, a family.
What we accomplished together during Ramadan:
🍽️ 200 Iftar-meals
Every evening during Ramadan, we provided thousands of people in Africa and refugee camps with a hot meal to break their fast. Each iftar was not just a meal, but a bridge of mercy against loneliness.
🌙 100 Sahur-meals
In the silence of the night, we brought hope and strength to those who were preparing for their fast. With a bowl of hot soup and a piece of bread, we made them feel they were not alone.
For families struggling to find daily food, we delivered food packages that gave them security and peace at the table for an entire month. Each package contained not only food, but also a hand of mercy.
💧 3 Wells Opened
In arid areas of Africa, we opened three new wells. These wells mean children no longer have to go to school without water, mothers no longer have to walk for hours, and entire villages come back to life.
💛 Almost €20,000 to Zakat - Almost €10,000 to Sadaqa
We transparently and equitably distributed the gifts of our donors who wanted to share their wealth to those who needed it most: debtors, orphans, widows, the elderly and refugees. These donations brought not only financial relief, but also comfort to broken hearts.
🌍 We Reached Nearly 10,000 African Brothers and Sisters
In different regions of Africa, where hunger, thirst and hopelessness prevail, we reached nearly 10,000 people. We made them feel that they were not forgotten. We were their hope and their support.
🕊️ We Reached Nearly 10,000 Refugees and Oppressed People
Refugees and victims of war were not left alone during Ramadan. Thanks to hot meals, help for the Sugar Festival, party clothes and toys for the children, we were also able to make their hearts smile a little.
👨👩👧👦 Hundreds of Vulnerable Families We Have Supported
We reached orphans, the elderly who can no longer work, people with disabilities and families who have lost their income. We listened to their stories, understood their needs and looked for solutions together. Our foundation aims not only to help, but also to listen, understand and connect.
