What is Shukr sacrifice?

The sacrifice of gratitude is an offering slaughtered in the name of Allahu ta'ala in thanks for deliverance from accidents, disasters and calamities, for healing from illnesses and for good things achieved.

Why a shukr offering ?

A Shukr Qurban is a voluntary offering made by a Muslim in gratitude to Allah. It is slaughtered to celebrate a great blessing, milestone or fulfillment of a du'a.

Some examples of when people do a Shukr Qurban:
