Successful in Chad: 25 Cows for 1350 People – Sacrifice Feast Project with Impact!

Sometimes numbers speak louder than words:
✅ 25 cows slaughtered
✅ 1350 people fed
✅ 3 cities reached
✅ 1 beautiful shared goal achieved
Early June, we at Stichting Sur received a special request from the Souleymaniye Aide et Fraternité Association from Chad. Their goal was clear: to slaughter 25 cows during the Eidal-Adha Festival and distribute the meat among 1350 needy people in N'Djamena , Abeşe and Mongo .
After a positive board meeting on June 5, 2025 , Stichting Sur decided to agree in principle to the full subsidy of €17,500 , under one important condition:

🎥 And yes, they arrived!
Within a few days after the Feast of Sacrifice we received beautiful video footage, photos and financial accountability from the organization. Everything was well arranged, transparently executed and organized with a warm heart.
We saw volunteers handing out meat bags to families who really need it. Children smiling. Elderly thanking with tears in their eyes. The project was not only carried out practically, but also with human attention and respect.
🕌 Why this is so special
In a world where hunger and poverty are still too common, an act like this makes a difference. Not only is food shared, but also hope, community and joy during one of the most important holidays of the year.
Thanks to your support – donors, sympathizers and stakeholders – Stichting Sur was able to make this project possible. Together we ensure that the Feast of Sacrifice is not only a religious day, but also a day of human connection.
