Sunrise Foundation successfully completes Qurbani campaign in Chad in partnership with Souleymaniye Aide et Fraternité Association (SAFA)
During the 2024 Eid al-Adha, from June 15 to 18, the Sunrise Foundation proudly organized and partially funded a large-scale Qurbani campaign in partnership with the Souleymaniye Aide et Fraternité Association (SAFA). This joint effort brought hope, joy and relief to thousands of people in Chad.
As part of the campaign, dozens of cattle were slaughtered, and the meat was distributed to needy people in various neighborhoods of N'Djamena, Mongo and Abéché. These regions are known for their large populations living in poverty, where food shortages are a daily reality. Thanks to this meaningful initiative, thousands of vulnerable families received nutritious meat, allowing them to celebrate Eid al-Adha with dignity.
A Collaboration Driven by Solidarity
The logistics and organization of the campaign were led by SAFA, with the support of their own team of dedicated volunteers and the committed members of Sunrise Foundation. This collaboration illustrated the power of unity and shared goals. Together we brought to life the essence of Eid al-Adha - sharing with those in need.
The Qurbani campaign in Chad was not only an act of charity, but also a beacon of hope. In a country where much of the population struggles with poverty, this campaign touched many lives and brought joy to countless hearts. The meat packages provided more than just physical nourishment; they brought joy and enabled families to celebrate Eid with pride and honor.
