Our Aid Campaign for Palestinian Refugee Camps in Lebanon Has Been Successfully Completed.
We at Stichting SUNRISE are proud to have resumed our humanitarian aid activities in Palestinian refugee camps during Ramadan in March 2023/2024 after a long hiatus. This special campaign was successfully completed thanks to the great support of our valued donors.
Our Achievements
Food Packages:
Thanks to your generous donations, we were able to distribute 50 food packages containing rice, beans, flour, sugar, oil, and other essential food items. These packages directly contributed to alleviating food insecurity for many families.
Daily Meals:
We provided hot meals to volunteers and those involved in distribution throughout the five days of our mission. This ensured that everyone had the strength and energy to effectively organize and distribute the aid.
Transportation and Logistics:
We hired a van to transport the food packages to different refugee camps. This allowed us to deliver aid quickly and effectively despite the logistical challenges in the region.
Focusing on Palestinian Refugees
The situation in Palestinian refugee camps is heartbreaking. Many families live in extreme poverty; their access to clean water, food, and healthcare is limited.
During Ramadan, we wanted to especially support these communities; this fully aligns with our values of solidarity and caring for those in need.
Our aid campaign not only provided material support but also delivered a message of hope and commitment. We sought to foster a sense of community and comfort through conversations and shared meals.
