Eid al-Adha – Chad
Stichting Sur supported the sacrifice of 25 cattle in Chad, providing Eid al-Adha meat to 1,350 people in need across N’Djamena, Abéché, and Mongo. The €17,500 project was completed transparently with photographic, video, and financial documentation.

Sometimes numbers speak louder than words:
✅ 25 cows slaughtered.
✅ 1,350 people fed.
✅ 3 cities reached.
✅ A wonderful shared goal achieved.
At the beginning of June, Stichting Sur received a special application from the Souleymaniye Aide et Fraternité Association in Chad.
The goal was clear: to slaughter 25 cows during Eid al-Adha and distribute the meat to 1,350 people in need in the cities of N’Djamena, Abéché, and Mongo.
Following a positive management meeting on June 5, 2025, Stichting Sur approved support amounting to €17,500, with one condition:
📸 We wanted to receive photographic and video documentation of the project.
🎥 And yes, the documents arrived!
Just a few days after Eid al-Adha, we received wonderful videos, photos, and financial statements from the association.
Everything was meticulously, transparently, and wholeheartedly organized.
We saw the volunteers distributing the meat packages to families who truly needed them.
Smiling children.
Elderly people thanking us with tears in their eyes.
The project was carried out not only practically, but also with humanitarian care and respect.
🕌 Why is it so special?
While hunger and poverty are still widespread in the world, an initiative like this makes a difference. It is not just about sharing food; it is also about spreading hope, connection, and happiness during one of the most important holidays of the year.
Thanks to our supporters – donors, volunteers, and everyone involved – Stichting Sur was able to make this project a reality. Together, we are making Eid al-Adha not just a religious day, but also a day of human solidarity.

With the documentation received and the financial reports completed, the payment process has been finalized. We thank our partner organization in Chad for their dedication, transparency, and, above all, their care for people.
