Circumcision Project – Chad

Between January 3–7, 2025, Stichting SUNRISE, in collaboration with the local Safa organization and the Dutch Stichting Halal Voeding en Voedsel, took a significant step forward in the field of healthcare in Chad. Through this collaboration, 1000 out of 3000 children received a regular and safe healthcare service: circumcision. This project was not only a significant milestone for the children and their families, but also demonstrated the power of national and international cooperation.

An Impactful Healthcare Project
In many parts of the world, basic healthcare and preventative measures are not always accessible. With this project, Stichting SUNRISE not only ensured that circumcisions were performed safely and hygienically, but also raised awareness of health and well-being in local communities. Parents felt grateful and relieved to see their children being cared for with great attention and professionalism.

The Key to Success: Collaboration
This project was made possible thanks to the close collaboration between Stichting SUNRISE, the local Safa organization, and Stichting Halal Voeding en Voedsel. Each party contributed unique expertise and resources; thus, the project was successfully and seamlessly realized. This collaboration demonstrates that when we combine our strengths, we can create great change, even in the world's most challenging regions.
